3 Ways to Get More Out of Your Labor

In keeping with this week’s theme of Labor Day, I promised you 3 big, bold, immediate things you can do to reinvigorate money, success, opportunity and growth back into your business and bust through any plateaus you are experiencing or feeling right now.

Labor Day honors the hard work of the individual; unfortunately a strong work ethic is harder and harder to come by these days.

Yet our country is still filled with ambitious people whether the toll booth worker pulling the graveyard shift or the waiter working a double or the firefighters risking their lives or the world class doctors advancing our health.

Every profession matters, every job counts, every person who works make this world go around. It is funny to me to have a day where we stop working in order to celebrate working. I think the results of the labor is the celebration.

Anyhow, I hope you had a wonderful Labor Day and now let me tell you the big three, no matter how great things are going in your business right now, you can…

1st – Fall back in love with your Labor. Of course you know that. We talk about it right here pretty often, still there is something so powerful about pouring yourself back into your work, reminding yourself why you are doing this, what you love about it and what your big goals were to begin with.

If you want to make more money fast: get excited about your business again.

You can tell this very easily by how fast you get out of bed and off your ass every morning to get to work. You can tell by your expectations, your energy and your focus to achieve.

Should it be fun again so you become successful, or should you be successful so it becomes fun again – I believe the answer is obvious.

Be in an intense competition with yourself and your work.
Be in a passionate love affair with what you do.
Be totally engaged and renew your commitment to your ‘labor’.

2nd – and one of the most powerful things I know to tell you when engaging your customers, follow this approach…

A) Treat every one of them like they are the most important one, the most recent one, like they are going to buy and like you are going to do whatever it takes to make it happen

In dentistry we call this “treat every patient like a new patient”.

This is so simple and yet so profound because it changes the emotional connection, it changes the expectations, it keeps you from assuming or pre-judging or taking for granted.

B) Ask yourself this question… “What does my prospect need to know in order to become a great customer, what can I do, say, teach, experience with them before they give me money that would make them ready to buy?”

Most people wait until they get lucky and get a “yes” in order to treat someone like a customer. This is a review from long ago but you can never do it enough and never assess yourself enough on this very thing.

When you treat your prospects like a customer, guess what – they will become one.

3rd – And my favorite on this holiday week, so easy to do this: raise your prices, increase your fees, bundle your services, sell at bigger amounts. There is nothing that will reinvigorate you and get you excited more than this.

And not a single new customer, patient, clients, or anyone else is going to know the difference.

You deserve a raise. Heck, going into the end of the year, you now have four months left to maximize and accelerate through into the Holiday season. Why not start selling, playing, earning on a higher level now?

I can’t think of anything more of a catalyst for growth than PROFIT!

Take these three mental and tactical strategies seriously and watch what happens over the next few weeks.

It’s going to be amazing!

Back next week with more.
