XXX Factors – PART 4 of 4 Transference of Confidence

I said this right here – years ago – and I have stuck by it throughout my lifetime. I suppose it comes from my Martial Arts background and leading thousands upon thousands of people to achieve their own personal human potential by believing in themselves.
When I moved from my Martial Arts empire to helping other business owners and entrepreneurs achieve the same liberation that I had orchestrated for myself, at an age when most are still trying to figure out what college they are going to go to, I made a very deliberate decision that I would keep the principles I gained through my Martial Arts career and life experience to help others.
Standing in front of a room full of doctors, business owners, entrepreneurs, sales people, or any other capitalist, I knew the single greatest thing I could ever do for them (above and beyond the “clinical” teachings of business, marketing, sales, employees, money making and customers acquisition in general), was to empower them to KNOW, believe, and decide that success was going to be theirs. They deserved it. And you too, now and always deserve it.
We live in a constant state of disappointment as I have already said over the past 3 weeks. We are let down, misguided, bamboozled, and otherwise have our trust, belief, hope eroded away.
Your customers, patients, clients are the same. It’s the law of human nature.
However, there is something greater than the disappointment of others – it is the disappointment of ourselves. More than anyone else in the world, we each disappointment and let down our self more than anyone else can ever let us down.
This destroys the one thing that we need to survive, thrive, pursue, and conquer our goals in life…
CONFIDENCE
That is the single most important thing that exists in your being. It’s why I love dentistry with all my heart and soul, and why I have dedicated my life to serving that profession – and why I am the highest paid, most successful and impacting person to ever walk into the industry; because it’s not what I do, it’s who I am. Because of this one specific thing – CONFIDENCE – nothing makes a person more confident than a smile and nothing increases one’s self worth more than being proud of the face they see looking back at them in the mirror.
This is not unique for Dentistry, or any other business I have ever worked with; hundreds of different industries and thousands of entrepreneurs and business owners…the secret to everything you sell, to every customer, patient, and client you meet, and to every prospect that enters into your world of influence…
One thing will make all the difference: CONFIDENCE
You sell confidence. People buy from you, your confidence, in your products and services, in the outcomes you proclaim, and most of all they buy YOUR confidence IN THEM, in the fact that they deserve it, they will benefit from it, they will enjoy it and they are making a good, smart, wise deserving investment.
You buy the confidence of the salesperson when you buy a car.
You buy the confidence of your adjustment when you go to the chiropractor.
You buy the confidence of the realtor when you buy a house.
You buy the confidence of self-defense when you do martial arts.
You buy the confidence of weight loss when you join a gym.
The trick to all of this is –
YOU HAVE TO BE SELLING CONFIDENCE
And it has to be blatant and obvious.
The single greatest compliment I ever received, whether it’s teaching a 6 year old how to focus or break a board, or teaching a 60 year old how to move again – was that they never felt more confident in their life and are now doing things they never thought they could do – NOT BECAUSE THEY FINALLY CAN – but because they finally can TRY!!!!
You know the single greatest compliment I ever received when my brother and I developed the most successful entrepreneur and business owner coaching company in the country while in Indianapolis – that people finally had the confidence to do what they had always dreamt of doing. They believed in themselves and in taking a shot, they had the confidence to send the offer, to give the speech, to raise their price, to change their business, to change their life. Not because they couldn’t do it before or didn’t know how to do it before but because they finally took action in spite of fear not void of it. They had confidence, through me, in themselves.

Not because they were not capable before, not even because they didn’t know what they wanted. They were both capable and knowing – they just didn’t have the confidence it would actually work.
I do.
Now they do.
And guess what.
Now “it” does.
The business, the outcome, the results, all require confidence.
In Martial Arts, we said right up front we are here to sell you confidence, we are going to make you unstoppable in your life; and all the fancy moves and all the boards you break and the trophies you win and all that stuff, is designed for one thing and one thing only: to build up your confidence in yourself so that you can live your life to the fullest.
EVERYTHING and EVERY BUSINESS and EVERY PRODUCT and EVERY SERVICE and EVERY EXPERIENCE is really about this – helping your prospects, customers, patients and clients to live their life to the fullest…in whatever way you do it, that’s what it’s all about.
And the only way it’s going to happen is if you are transferring the confidence YOU have in BOTH WHAT you are selling and in WHO you are selling it to. People buy confidence. Money moves to confidence. And without it you are selling on shaky ground and your customers, patients, and clients will be setting themselves up for failure.
Getting people to think you are worthy of their business, heck, that’s the easy part.
It’s getting people to think THEY are worthy of buying and doing business with you that’s the challenge.
Never forget this because it will take what often seems like a struggle to you, an uphill battle, a fight to win the money from the other side – and it will remove all negative energies from this and it will make what you do fun for you and the customer. It will make any “sale” a life changing event, no matter what it is that you are exchanging for money.
First, You must work on and build up your confidence.
And then you must very deliberately transfer that confidence to all those around you, especially those who are suppose to be giving you money.
People buy confidence. The question is do you sell it?
