XXX Factors for Advanced Persuasion and Influence

I’m not sure if I said it here last week, but I know I’ve said it before and actually wrote a relatively famous article when Obama was elected that went something like this… “Hope can elect you President but it wont make you Rich.”

The point actually was two fold. First, you can’t HOPE your way to success. While always being positive minded, being solution oriented, being a person others want to be around, and other qualities that money finds attractive is critical, it does require you to get off your ass and do something. Contrary to a famous book title written decades ago, there is no “lazy way to riches” nor is there a HOPEFUL one.

Hope, my friends, is not a strategy.

It is an expressionistic feeling one attempts to convince and ASSURE themselves something will work out the way they want it too. As if they deserve a better outcome than the opposing person, just because.

Simple example. I always find it humorous when a Professional Sports Athlete thanks God for the touchdown or free throw or homerun or victory. I keep wondering why someone from the other team doesn’t call timeout and have a little conference with God to ask why his prayers weren’t answered.

If you notice, God only plays offense. You never see the defense thanking him for letting the other team score.

It’s wonderful (and important) to be grateful and express gratitude, just not at the expense of other people.

None the less. The other side of the article I wrote so many years ago was meant to exemplify the strategy that was used brilliantly by the enemy, I mean Obama, to become President – HOPE SELLS – hands down – it’s about the most powerful psychological selling, influence, persuasion tool there is on the earth.

If you are not helping your Patients, Customers, Clients become more HOPEFUL as a result of your experiential selling process that educates and informs, then you are struggling, probably boring and pathetically fighting an uphill battle in a blizzard by yourself carrying weights on your back.

HOPE is all that matters and all that MOVES people to buy.

Logic, facts, figures, etc without HOPE will only get you the smallest percentage of buyers and they will be the most skeptical, critical, small-minded buyers scrupulous of everything and not worth your time and high maintenance factor in your life.

If you want to make your life 1000x easier, better, more prosperous and FUN, get rid of every buyer who wants facts, figures, features and fire them. Accept only those who have faith, are positive and buy because they are hopeful and trust you as the expert guide.

These people, by their own human nature, will have amazing experiences and appreciate you more than any others.

I should know.

Because unless you are selling oil to America or nuclear weapons to Iran, I personally interact with, am responsible for, or have direct involvement with more person-to-person, customer-to-customer, end consumer psychology based purchases (in terms of dollar values) than arguably any person on the planet.

And I personally, touch, talk to, and create more than $20,000,000 (that’s with an M) every year and just my Dentists alone do more than $2.0 BILLION of Treatment a Year who I directly guide advise and strategically control their Patient interaction.

Here’s the premise you must embrace and understand…

While HOPE does sell and creates the psychological effect of bringing the water to a boil of the buying temperature, it can only do that if it conquers these 4 obstacles that stand in your way.

Ultimately Hope has to overcome Doubt, Desire to do nothing, Fear and Resistance…

To do this…you must install 4 systems and components; like a gauntlet your customer must be guided through…it’s actually quite fun.

We’ll tackle them one at a time. They are…

– Participatory Activity
– Degree of Believability
– Infectious Enthusiasm
– Transference of Confidence

And I’ll show you live examples and give you my exact method to implement them into your marketing, sales, and prospective customer experience.
